I love TJ's. It's still two buck chuck where I am. The pricing for many things is way better than the regular grocery store.
Milk: $3.49/gal
Yogurt: 2.99/ 32 oz
Pita: 1.69 for whole wheat (until recently it was 0.99!)
Guacamole: 2.99 for 2 pkg
Brown rice: 2.29 for 3 lb
canned beans: 0.59 to 0.89
whole wheat pasta: 1.09/lb
canned tomatoes: 1.29 for 28 oz
bananas: 0.19 each
salad mix: 1.99
blue and feta cheese - ...not remembering the cost, but pretty reasonable
whole wheat english muffins: 1.49 for 6
olives, olive oil, balsamic vinegar
nuts: 3.99/lb or so
frozen veggies: 1.09/lb
Really, I started shopping there when we had the grocery strike a few years ago. A lot of people must have, because now we have three of them. The only place I spend more money per year is the farmer's market/CSA.
