Well, I haven't been keeping track, but I bet it is about even here. I have to drive a lot during the week, not much I can do about it. I only go where I need to. I use a tank of gas a week. My husband is a construction worker, so I bet he goes through more than that. I am trying to get the grocery budget down.

Interesting I never compared the 2..... I just looked at my month to date and I have spent $180 on gas, and will prob sepnd another $35 on Monday. My food bill was higher than norm at $360.00

I will have spent $150 less on gas than on food! Yikes. And I did drive more than usuall this month...I take the kids to and from school everyday and do errands on Thursdays but last weekend we went driving around looking at some properties so we added some extra gas and mileage there.

I am so glad DH has a company truck and that they pay for the gas ...his gas bill for a week is outrageous on that thing (Diesel+bucket truck+ about $200 a week). (He spends his days out on the road for the most part)

Wow this Shocks me too.

Unless You Are Really Driving alot out Of necessity- I Can't See it.

I Believe it ... .Just very Surprising!
My monthly Gas bill is about $120 a Month - Usually 2 fillups at 55.00 and One 10.00 or less quick stop

My grocery bill is about 700 a Month.

So I Am Waaaaaay Higher in the food area.

Last month we spent $64 for gas and $205 for groceries. We do have a hybrid, though.

I guess I should have explained. My Husband has Patients in 4 states. He is only in the office 2-3 days a week and on the road the other days including weekends. Not including all the traveling for the pages that come in all hours of the night.....

We spend more on gas than food. Partly because we grow a lot of our own food, and partly because it's a minimum of 8 miles to drive anywhere from here.

I spent $360 on food in March and only $56 on gas. We carpool to school. I drive only one day a week and one Friday a month. I run errands, mainly close to home. Food is a bit higher than it would otherwise be as I am feeding my parents who love meat!

I wish my gas bill was that low. I fill up at least twice a month at almost $80 a pop now. We have a mini van and really need it. We have three kids two in car seats and we do afterschool care so I have to have the extra room.

Sometimes I have to have that third fill up it just depends on the month.

I know I spend more on food but the gas is a killer too!!
