Hello All,

I am looking for any program that works like the Angel Food Ministries in my area. Basically a program where you pay a certain amount of money for a box of quality food. I am in northwestern MN (Alexandria area) and the only pick-up locations for Angel Food Ministries are nowhere near where I live.

Does anyone know of any similar programs that maybe have a pick-up site closer? I am willing to travel some, but with gas prices would like to keep travel distance as short as possible.

I have emailed Angel Food Ministries about possibly becoming a host site in my area and am waiting to hear back. I think it's such a wonderful program.

I have been searching online for similar programs, but have had no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

Shelley

Emergency Food Shelf Network (Minnesota's Free Food Bank) - Overview And Accomplishments

Look at the Fare For All program. Don't let the food shelf name deter you. It's sponsored by them but open to any person in MN. They do want you volunteer in your community if you buy something though. I'm not too familiar with Alexandria so I'm not sure about host sites but its worth checking into anyways.
