I'm in too. I spend $200 total a month for three of us - 2 teenage girls and myself. We rarely go out to eat, so this will be spent on food and will include pet food/kitty litter and toiletries.

I won't need to buy many toiletries. When I got my tax return, I stocked up on this stuff using coupons of course!

So funny! I was just posting on my blog about this. I was saying that I was looking for a challenge so this month my goal is to spend $75 for the three of us. I also have a $10 OYNO at Cub Food that I will be using in this and random ECBs, but they won't add up to much.

This total does not include going out to eat. I think that we will probably have $30 for that. It doesn't usually come out of our budget because there is simply no room for it. Instead it comes out of money I make from selling clothes at Once Upon a Child.

I've never done a challenge before. Our we supposed to post what we spend on? If so I spend $.68 today on chocolate chips. They were 50% off and I had a $1/1 coupon.

Total left to spend $74.32

With prior challenges I've just started a thread where people can report in how they did at the end of the month. For this challenge I think it would work better if I post a thread weekly where people can report in what they have spent for that week. I think I'll do it on Fridays unless someone has another idea.

Count me in. I'm going to try to stick to $600.00 including tolietries for the 4 of us. It's high-- but we are gluten free/casien free and corn free so I have to pay extra for a lot of stuff.

But, I have been spending way too much lately.

I need to be Gluten free, too. I find it hard, but I have been basically Gluten-Free since childhood....

I don't know how you gals do it!

I have a monthly budget for groceries (dining out is separate) of $800 for a family of 4 - and we almost always go over! I do insist on organic milk, eggs and chicken, but still!! I'm so impressed at how frugal you manage to be. I try to plan most of my meals and try to limit myself to 2 grocery runs per week (Target and Sam's are included). I do include cleaning supplies and such in my grocery budget.

How does everyone stay on such a tight budget? What sort of meals are you having?
