I heard on the news this morning that food prices are going to go up 4% by the end of the year. I don't know how much more I can cut out of the grocery budget. Very frustrating.

And the frustrating thing is, what really can we do? I can go a lot of things but I can't grow everything.

I'm not looking forward to that at all. I saw Friday on the news, that eggs had increased 45% since last year. I knew they had gone up a lot, but to actually hear the numbers...

If I heard right this morning, it's all because of a predicted shortage of corn. They were saying all the things that corn and corn by-products are used in plus it's used to feed animals that are then butchered and sold. It was amazing to hear. I don't know where these prices are going to stop.

I also Read an article yesterday that The average family of 4 is Spending $904 a Month On Groceries
At 6 Ppl - and Not savvy shopping we are still in the 800 range and that includes - pet ,household and Personal Needs too.

I Know the prices are getting higher , but I Think the media makes it look Worse.

I read the same article also and there's no way we spend $900 a month on groceries, cleaning products, and health/beauty products. We are working on cutting back our spending in all these areas, but I don't know many people I work with that could afford to spend that kind of money a month with a family of four.
