Aldi is about 1.5 miles away from me. The bigger stores (Wegman's here) is 1 mile. I go to both, sometimes in the same shopping trip. I stock up on ingredients and quick dinners at Aldi and I buy my luxury items like my Greek yogurt. I catch some of the loss leaders, but to be honest we have way too big of a stock of food for me to pick up too many of them.

I also catch sales at places like Target when they have something I like.

I figure if I can put together a dinner without us going out I have saved money. I try to not succumb to the late hour and need to feed my family quickly.

Barb C (who has been collecting quick cooking cook books too, but so many of them call for junk ingredients)

I do very little with coupons. I only clip them for items I know we use regularly or new products I want to try. I'm frustrated with the selection and how quickly they expire.

My preferred method of shopping is to start at Aldi and then stop by Cub or Target on the way home for meat and produce plus anything on my list Aldi doesn't carry. There are just a few Aldi items we don't care for and we pick those up too. I've also kept track of prices at different stores so I can recognize a good deal on items we frequently purchase. If we had a bigger pantry I'd probably do more with coupons and stocking up but our space is limited.

my husband loves aldi's, i like buying some stuff there but since i read labels i have found high salt content in a lot of thier food. we buy produce, paper items, fresh meats, and used to get our eggs and milk thier but my husband started his own business so now we qualify for WIC. also buy some of the staples and box items. thier pringles are always cheap. they are only 10 min. from our house in no matter what direction we go. lots of aldi's round here.
