If you were to buy a frugal book, what type of information would you want it to have? If there were a MOMMYSAVERS frugal book, what would you want it to include?

There are so many great tips here this could be a really big book. I love the crockpot recipes and the ideas for cleaning without using commercial products. Someone had a great tip on how to clean a shower head with a ziplock bag, vinegar and rubberband. To me those tips like that are wonderful because I'm not creative enough to think of that.

I think the Table of Contents should including chapters on saving money on kids/family (clothes, activities, frugal crafts), groceries, household/utilities, and frugal recipes including food recipes and cleaning/craft recipes. It should also have a chapter on frugal entertainment ideas.

Unlike the Tightwad Gazette which I view as a bible, it should have recipes for frugal meals. And as far as everything else, just take a look at all the posts! Momof5 is right, it would be a HUGE book! But I wouldn't mind..

Maybe add a chapter on when it is a best time of year to buy a new car, new appliances, new furniture, etc. OR a chapter about frugal vacation ideas.

A little bit of everything.

Grocery Shopping stratagies, Including economic recipies and how to eat healthy for less.

Cleaning and Storage Stratagies what product can really save time and money

Family Activities Startagies. Where to find affordable events, Are memberships worth it. Ways to do more for less.

Travel tips, What family vehicals are the most ecconomic, how to save on gas, insurance and car matinence

Entertainment and hobby tips. Face it we all have hobbies I would love to see information on how to save money on hobbies, lessions, gym memberships, TV, books and other activies

Home Improvement: Lets just say we have saved a lot of money with DIY projects. I would love to see for example what the average rate for hiring a professional is and kind of a when you should hire someone vs when you should DIY. A few years Back we Spent 6K on completely gutting and remodeling our kitchen. 6K is really inexpensive as far as kitchens go so I think we did well but still we learned a lot that could be passed down. Like the little arches on the cabinet doors were a thousand dollar extra. Little detail big price. I think people need to know about getting your money back with high end remodels on a low end property and maybe even touch on buying a home and making smart choices.

I think it would be cool to market a book toward people who are just getting established. Something like Im Married Now what? or your first place guide Looking back there were a lot of things we bought for our first place that we didn't need.

I think that's a great idea!! Especially after graduating from college and being out on your own for the first time - there were lots of mistakes I made!! It would have been great to have a resource for how to be frugal/save money when just starting out.

Also, I think it would be great to include information on how/where to find things that have frugal uses. For example I have heard of castille soap and it's use in making your own shampoo, but I have no idea what it is or where I can find it. That's the only example that I can think of right now.
I could always google it, but it would be nice to have resources like that in a book that I could look up easily.
