Sunday we went shopping to buy a freezer and a twin size bed for our 4yr old. We used our tax refund to buy both. No credit cards......

But we ate breakfast out.......and took so long that we had to eat lunch out too.

Then we went to Wal-mart......we needed to get a few things. But the WANTS creeped into our cart and we came home with $21.64 worth of wants. I was really really trying hard this month not to let that happen. No excuse except for being tired and weak from a whole day of shopping in boring stores with 2 kids under the age of 5.

This was my first attempt at a spending freeze and I failed on day 6!
Well, back on the wagon and here we go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, I think if you got outta Wal Mart with only 21 dollars over,, you did GREAT!

I'm sure that doesn't help, but it'll be all right.

I agree! u didn't do so bad
i went into a store once and bought a $350 suit that later I realized,
I really couldn't wear it anywhere, cause even to my work, it was waaaay to "business" like. (I went and returned it of course!)
*to make you feel better, try to make up for it in another area.

Actually that will be easy this week. DH is on the road this week, using the company card for meals, gas and all.

I know $21 isn't that bad. I just wish I could have made it one week, kwim? LOL

In our home, $21 is a lot. So I'm not going to minimize that for you. You are human and if it was day 6 you were doing really good! You can pick up and start again.

Don't be too hard on yourself, I don't think I ever get out of Walmart spending less than 50. The fact is you realized that you fell off the wagon, hop back on and try again. I keep telling myself to do the spending freeze and always find some reason not to. At least you are trying. Good Luck
