I'm going shopping tonight, but last week I noticed that prices all went up 10 or 20 cents per item again. It would be great if I went tonight and the prices were much lower!

Kroger has half gallons on sale 2 for $4(which actually is not much of a sale) this week. Bread is running at $1.oo on sale for the generic white enriched and $2.50 to $3.50 for the good stuff(Thank goodness for the Food Lion $4.99 off bakery item coupon). I have been able to get lettuce for cheaper but not much else.

That doesn't seem to be happening here either. Eggs were down a bit this week (but not as low as the OP!). I didn't notice anything else significantly lower.

Same here. And I am so jealous. Perdue Chicken? 2.99? We would be in heaven. It is almost $5 here on average and I haven't seen any good sales.

I need to be in your area! All we see here are more increases in prices! Last week dh & I were really excited to FINALLY find milk for $2.99 at a gas station by his job, it has been running $4 and up everywhere else, egg prices are still over $2 a dozen, and of course meat is going through the roof! Glad you are able to stock up on some stuff though!

DH and I went grocery shopping today and I was SHOCKED at the food prices. Food prices jumped 20 cents or more on certain items! I refuse to purchase those items in the future, until the price goes down!!!

I haven't noticed any decreases. But, I'm shopping loss leaders and CVS freebies as much as possible to make our $$$ stretch.

Just this week I noticed a drop too. Our eggs have been $1.79 (that's the cheapest I could find, sometimes up to $2.25) and just dropped to $1.39 again & Kroger has them on sale this week for $1.00. I'm tickled pink as I have a wedding cake to make this weekend!!!!

Milk has gone down also (thank goodness) to just over $2.50 per gallon. And of course produce, since it's in season.

Now if only gasoline would go back down under $3.00 maybe we could keep these new lower prices. I know, fat chance! Especially with ethenol eating up all the corn.
