Thanks for sharing. I don't think some of my friends and family understand my focus on everyday items. But it's worth it when you achieve a financial goal

I agree.. thank goodness we have mommysavers to help us out. So many of us are in the same boat and the tips we share with each other are a god send to many of us. Thank you ladies!!!

One of the things that resonated with me from that article is the being wasteful part. We have been so wasteful in the past and now I am trying so hard now to use up those leftovers. I have realized that even a dollar a day savings ends up at $365 dollars at the end of the year. And that is about a month and a half of groceries for us.

I am just starting this journey of awareness as far as my financial habits go and let me tell you -- wastefull doesn't even begin to describe what I was doing.

I imagine I THINK I was spending $500 a month on groceries but it was more like $600 and I would also say on lunches and dining out we were spending another $300. THat is nearly a thousand dollars a month on FOOD!! HELLO there are only five of us in the family.
