What have you done this week that was frugal?

So far we have walked to school 3 times. (Twice to pick her up, and once to volunteer)
Found great deals at Fareway and stocked up on meat.
Put 2 loads of laundry out on the line to dry.
Checked out 4 new releases from the library for free.
Dh has ridden the scooter two days. (To work and for errands)
Found great deals at Michaels and stocked up on crafts to do this summer with the girls.

This is my first week of being aware so I will have a lot of changes at first:

I found center cut pork chops and stew beef on special at Wal Mart and bought enough for 4 meals spending a total of $8!!

I made a list of things I needed at the store and controlled my urge to buy impulsively and have saved about $50 this week on groceries. (I cannot belive how much I was spending unnecessarily!!)

I started using vinegar to clean my house!! Works GREAT.

I also figured out I can fit a cheap washcloth into my swiffer dry and damp mop my kitchen floor!! (Not as good as the Wet Jet, but it works for the inbetween times!!)

I'm new at the "frugal" thing too. It is so embarassing to think of how much I have wasted. Here are a few of the things I have done this week:

1-Kept the blinds closed through the day. (DH and I are both at work and our blind dog doesn't miss the sunshine.)
2-Turned the AC up to 77 and opened the door to the screened in porch and the windows to cool the house waaaaay down.
3-We ate Sunday lunch at home for the 1st time in I can't remember when
4-Ate yummy left overs twice
5-Bought groceries at Wal-Mart (with a list) and spent $47 as opposed to my usual $125 +.
6-Went to a Sunday matinee instead of the later show
7-Bought 80/20 ground beef (instead of the very lean) and browned and rinsed it under hot water for spaghetti (saved $2ish)

...and it's only Wednesday!!! This is almost fun.

This week I have - gotten movies & books from the library for free.
Hung clothes out on the line to dry.
Not ran the heat or AC AT ALL! - We opened the windows & the weather has been great!
Not eaten out AT ALL! (DH & I have both packed our lunches or brought left overs every day for work!)
Went for nightly walks instead of driving to a park.
Decided to make signs at home instead of putting an ad in the paper for my yard sale this weekend.
Took DS to my bff's mom to get a FREE haircut! (& it looks great!)
Tonight I'm going to Costco to pick up a FREE rotissary chicken! (Got a coupon for a free one when we joined a few weeks ago!)

So far this week I've spent $2 (on a water & lip balm while out for DS hair cut!) It's been a great week!

We rode our bikes to and from work.

I've been using a Klean Kanteen instead of plastic water bottles.

Have spent no unnecessary money. No impulse buys.

Combined all of my errands into one car trip.

Ate breakfast at home and packed lunch all week. Usually I stop at the grocery store once or twice a week.
Only went to CVS twice this week to buy stuff I really don't need but donate.
Listed furniture online to sell.
Planned a bridal shower around food and party gifts that I already have at home. So the only thing I need to buy is the actual gift for the bride.
Resisted the urge to buy hair styling products that I ran out of last week and am using up products that I don't care so much for but will do in a pinch.

Tomorrow will be the test though. There is a development wide rummage sale and I need to be more choosey about what my DDs really need for clothes.
