Im worried too. I wouldnt say it keeps me up at night but it is on my mind from time to time. I have a religious friend who says that all these things are signs of the apocolypse. Im not sure whether I belive it or not but its scary!

I live in a small town, and I do believe that if disaster comes calling, we will all help each other out. It really will take a village ( or a neighborhood ) to cope if it really turns bad. I know that many people say "Well, I can't worry about other people, I need to just take care of MY family..." That kind of thinking only further isolates us from each other. The people who will best weather these uncertain times are people like the Amish communities, who know that when people pull together, it benefits them all. My suggestion is to get to really know the people right around you...they may turn out to be your best "stockpile" by far.

people have thought the world was going to end since Biblical days. with everything going on, one can't help but wonder if this is really it, but you can't live your life being paranoid. whatever happens, happens.

I am worried about the gas and food prices, everything is a little overwhelming right now, but you can't let the fear and worry consume your life and your thinking. I just try to take it one day at a time, the only thing we can do is ride it out and do the best we can.

I am far from destitute at this point. We could do without many things before I would be REALLY worried!

If I spent every moment from now until the day I die in a state of worry would it change anything? --- NOPE

I have faith, and I will not worry about tomorrow -- it will take care of itself. (To paraphrase my favorite book!!)

Martin Luther King had a saying that if the world ended tomorrow he would still plant his tree today.

I dont think that you should be paranoid either but I do think that it is time to seek the only one that can save you and if you dont know who that is or would like more insight on hope just open up "the Book".I know prices are rising everywhere , economy is not doing to well and there are alot of other things going on right now that would cause people to start raising eyebrows to whats really going on? But there is someone that is bigger than all this and some things are out of our control but there is a hope for those who seek it. I hope the best for all af you!

You have to have the rain to have the rainbows. God throws out what he knows we can handle. I just repeat this to myself. We have always lived a frugal lifestyle even when things we great. Keeps us humble. Now we have money saved, and our lifestyle matches the economy for today... Now we can sit back and watch the people who had to have the big fancy houses, gas guzzler suvs and pray that this will be a lesson for them.
