How did everyone do sticking to their food budget?

I got a $7 off of $95 coupon from Food Lion that I just ha-a-a-d to use. (I know it's a weak excuse). We also went out to eat. I went about $50 over the $550 I had planned for the month(and I was generous when I made the amount $550.) I'm going to do what I did with the change challenge and roll this challenge over to next month(or until I can get this challenge right). I haven't decided if I am going to participate in the from scratch challenge(although I will read the thread and marvel at the people who can cook while using more than 5 ingredients LOL)

i was about $15.oo over but not to bad.
