I am stockpiling household items to give in big gift baskets. I was tired of buying gifts that people didn't use. So now after Christmas we decide what we will do the following year so we have all year to look.

I always start as soon as Christmas is over! I have already bought my DD several items, and my DD's two cousin's b-day and Christmas. We try to have everything bought by November. We have cut back on who we buy for over the past few years, and we don't buy extravagant gifts either. I am actually cross stitching a few gifts this year.

You bet! I bought some of those reed diffusers on sale, so all the women in the family are taken care of. I got a great flannel shirt at Kohls for my DH ($2.00 on the hugest clearance rack!). And, I went through my sister's rummage sale box and found cute picture frames for the girl cousins who will appreciate such things (FREE!).

I want to get my DS a video camera for Christmas. He is quite creative, and I think he would get a kick out of making movies. I think, though, that this might be an item that will come out for Black Friday, so I'm holding off.

For the teens, I always get Borders or Itunes cards. I try to save about $25/week toward these purchases, but I won't buy them until closer to Christmas. I need to get 5 or 6 of those!

We, too, are cutting back. We really do not need anything, and DS is now old enough that he doesn't have to be WOWED with tons of packages under the tree!

We have a Christmas club account, and I'm always looking for toys/gifts that are on sale. I've found great deals at Tuesday Morning on Polly Pocket sets, and some other presents at TJ Maxx.

I bought my first thing this week. Target had a great $50 little people set that helps you learn your abc's and has 27 animals with it for $21. I think it will be great for my nephew.

Absolutely! The kids each have several smaller items (pj's, puzzles and board games) as well as one bigger item (princess tent for DD and a monster bowling set for DS) tucked away in the closet. Technically, they could be "done" if we had to do that. I also got a $25 gift certificate for the Piercing Pagoda, so I'm going to use that to buy my sister a pair of earrings for Christmas next week. We were very, very stressed financially last Christmas for the first time ever. We don't want to do that again, so I've been shopping clearance as much as possible already.
