Hello Ladies!
I wanted to see if I could get ideas on Mother's Day Presents...for my sisters and my mom.
I am on a budget, and I want to get them something thoughtful and nice...not cheap looking, for around $20 or less.

Can this be done...?
champagne taste on a beer budget LOL

Hope this doesn't sound snobby
I welcome your opinions!

I got my mom and MIL some nice things from Bath and Body works and the total was 40 for both of them. They have candles right now buy one at 17.00 get the other for free. These are very nice quality candles in a jar. Why would you get your sisters something for Mother's day? I thought you would give your mom, MIL and grandma something.

I also get my older sister something for mothers day. To me it's because 1 - She's my sister and I should take every moment I can to celebrate her. 2 - Her children are too young to understand "Mothers Day"
Really just because I want to and I think she deserves something nice.

I normally get plants for our "Mothers"

DH & I have A LOT of mothers to take care of... I have my mom and my step-mom. DH has his biological mom & his adoptive mom and then I also get something for our sisters with children. (We each have 2 sisters!)

I get my mom a rose bush every year (Around $15 at Lowes). I normally get my sister, my step mom & his biological mom a hanging basket (Around $12 each at Lowes) and then our sisters & his adoptive mom I will buy cheap decorative pots & put small flowers in there for them (Around $25 all together.) They all seem to be very happy with their mothers day gifts!

(we all give each other something, I know my sisters will be getting me something also) i think its just tradition that we give eachother gifts for mother's day.

I made my mom a really nice photo card on snapfish.com for about 3.00, On the inside I typed the defintion of mother, I read it in a magazine somewhere. It came out really nice. Then, I had my son make a card for her gluing macaroni on paper.

great ideas, ladies. My MIL wants labor instead (neighborhood clean up day ) I gave my FIL a 5x7 picture of my daughter for his birthday. It wasn't even in a frame or anything, and they loved it! Of course, like most people they had their own frame they could use.

I made my mom and mil a set of notecards. I packaged them up in a decorated folder I made and wrapped them in cellophane. DH said they looked like I bougth them from a fancy gift shop. Then I bought a small denomination gift card from Bath and Body works and attached it to the outside.

Last year, a friend burned a CD of mom-inspired songs and sent it to the other moms in her life with a note. I thought it was a great idea!
