your frugal efforts? What thing or things do you do that hamper your efforts to be frugal?

I am a sucker for a bargain. If I find a great deal I think I have to have it because it's such a great find. I have to stop and do a double check. My girls do not need anymore spring/summer clothes, no matter how cheap they are.

No doubt it would be stockpiling sale items! Enough already!

I am the same exact way! I try to keep a mental note in my head about what clothes DS has so if I find a great deal, I'll buy a few sizes up! If he never gets to wear it, then we have a nice gift for someone for really cheap!

Although I try to keep a cabinet stocked with one-size-fits-all kinds of gifts, I inevitably wind up "running out to get something" for people, mainly the adults. Birthdays, teacher gifts, etc, often end up sneaking up on me even though I have them on my calendar!

Usually, I pick up Starbucks gift cards, which are always appreciated. Sometimes, I get cut flowers or potted plants at Trader Joe's.

I need to find universal adult gifts and stock up!

After too much frugality for an extended period, I get caught up in the "I deserve this" mentality - then sometimes regret my impulse!! Although I don't go too nuts - usually a "splurge" under $20 or so. Or I'll get sick of cooking and out of dinner ideas and give it to the dreaded take out demon!

I'll buy lots of ingredients planning to do a lot of scratch cooking and/or freezing. More than once something comes up and then I have unused ingredients - oh no! or scramble to use everything up.

I have a few- missing stock up of clothes to turn around and find them after the fact (happened a lot with our youngest!), stockpile of presents that were obsolete by time to use them (like baby dolls for my oldest- who never really got into baby dolls!), food that expired.

My goal since we moved is to be more organized, so far so good (but I am not saying how many more boxes I have to go through!)- I only have 1 bin for future clothes (for school next year for youngest), the toy stockpile is very slim (as in 1 stocking stuffer for youngest!) and the food is slowly becoming a stockpile again.
