This question got me thinking-Do you spend more when you shop with your Dh or SO?

Oh yes I sure do. He adds EVERYTHING in SIGHT to the cart. He is NOT allowed to do the grocery shopping at all or to come with me.

Nope...who I am with (or without) doesn't affect my spending.

If it's grocery shopping, I definitely buy more with dh. He's like a kid in a candy store sometimes!

Sometimes but not very often and not very much more.

He really tries hard because he sees how much work I put into saving us money so we can afford to have extras.

Sometimes I even spend less because he thinks that everything costs too much! He gets all grumpy and we leave with hardly anything. We probably spent more in gas to get there than on groceries.
Especially if it has been awhile since he has gone and the prices have gone up!

My husband is somewhat clueless when it comes to the budget and all. He just wants what he wants and has very little regard for saving money. I am not giving up on him though!

If I go shopping with him I don't spend anymore. I used to though. Not anymore.

I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one!

DH had off work yesterday and we needed to get a few items from the store that should of only cost $15- with him we spent $72! I told him no more going to the store (he bought 3 different bags of chips, a lot of frozen dinners for work and a few other things we really did not need yet he insisted!).

dh tries to spend more if i am with him but i do not let him...he is NOT allowed to go grocery shopping anymore alone or with the kids as he will buy way too much and nothing on the list.
