If you are pinching pennies is there a new tip you read about here or elsewhere that you tried and were happy it worked or had good success with?
Are you trying out new ways to save money?

I have started using coupons... and have learned to use them well with the advice of some of you ladies. I have saved over $80 dollars so far this month by using coupons. I have learned to compare ads and shop sales. To plan my trips to save on gas and to stockpile.

I trade coupons online to take advantage of all the great coupons out there that others don't need but I could use.

I have learned to budget more wisely and to stick to it. I have also learned how good it feels to pay off debt thanks to the FTJ project.

Mommysavers has taught me a lot and I try to pass it on to as many people as I can because I have also learned here that it helps to have people share their tips and tricks.

I pick up new ideas / tips in Green Living all the time. I no longer buy dryer sheets -- before I was cutting them in half. And I've learned a ton about using vinegar for cleaning.

Using and trading coupons and spending the time to match up with sales has saved a lot of money.

I'm also trying to be greener, but these also save money.

I'm slowly phasing out spray cleaners and just using vinegar for kitchen cleaning. I've used it some in the bathrooms but not much.

I've alos gone to using fabric shopping bags. At three of the stores that I frequent I get money off my bill per bag that I use, up to 5 cents per bag.

I use less detergent in the wash.

I had a bad smell in several items of clothing from my husband "helping" with the laundry...then leaving the wash for three days. (thanks) A cup of vinegar in the wash and it came right out. So glad that my clothes don't smell now.
