How many of you have changed the places you shop at? Have you stopped going to certain stores altogether?

I'm back in the habit of going to Aldi's first for as much as I can. Then I go to Fareway, Walmart or Target for the rest of my groceries (whoever has the better deals that week).
I'm on hiatus from Goodwill. I have a hard time saying no to a good deal. We don't need any clothes right now, and we definitely don't need anymore books....so I don't go.

I've started shopping at Aldi's more. I really need to do some figuring, and start seeing if it's better for me to go to Aldi's or to Meijer when I have coupons and their sales. Luckily they are close.

Left to his own devices, DH just shops at the local grocery store with no regard to my coupons or their sales. This week, he totally went overboard, since I slacked off since it was my bday and mom's day. I don't really want to think about how much he spent on gifts, cards, food and dinners for me. I appreciate it, but ouch!

Today is get back on track day. If I take care of all the food, he doesn't ever go to the store. I got my coupons, my ads, my Aldi's paper, and I'm ready to meal plan!

I try to stay out of other stores. I do need to get some more jeans, since I've lost more weight from baby, and I think I'm about a size or two smaller than my pants are...but that's why they invented belts!

I shop wherever I can get the best deals. I check our ads each week and see what items are cheaper at which store. I do wish we had an Aldi's closer to us-they are about an hour and a half away from us so it makes it hard to justify driving there with the price of gas. I have noticed though that our Cashwise store is running pretty good ads the last couple weeks, so I've been doing the majority of our shopping there.

It depends on Where I am on Grocery day. Winco is the cheepest around hear. Aldi's is not located in the PNW. Walmart sometimes and then my usual Fred Myer and Albertsons. Trade Joes if I am in the area Costco once a Month but I have to stick to a strick list otherwise I am in trouble

I am currently on hiatus from our closest Aldi's because of gas prices- imagine that one! I started to shop more at 2 local grocery stores that offer Fuel Perks (Foodland and Giant Eagle) and I noticed that a few things are actually cheaper than Aldi's but for the amount we can save on gas it is worth it. Also another thing is that I have been setting money aside recently and plan on doing a big shopping trip to Costco with my neighbor- she has a price book and was showing me how much money she saved on detergent, paper products, etc by shopping there that we are going to try it out later this month!

Well, now that I work full time, and the kids ALWAYS seem to have something going on, I actually almost only shop at Bjs . Its a huge budget saver for me, and most of the time I can get everything I need there. I go once a month and stock up on tons of stuff for great prices. And they have coupons, plus they combine them. SO on average, I spend between $200-300 each time I go, and it sets me for about 4-6 weeks. I only go to Walmart when I have to, but by shopping Bjs, I don't visit other stores much at all.

Well, the closest to me is Super Walmart, but Meijers is right next door. There are only a few things that are cheaper for me there, and I just prefer Meijers. I go to Aldi too, I just can't get everything I need there. I can't think of anywhere I have stopped going. We eat out less, but we didn't eat out much before anyway.

I haven't really changed where I shop at because I have always watched the ads and done the math and went where the best prices are. I have become were I do think about what is on my list and if it is something that I really need or if I have something at home that can be swapped with it especially with recipes.

Once I became a member here I started seeing the posts on how to cut your grocery budget by shopping at Aldi's. I didn't mind shopping there but the challenge was talking dh into doing so.

We've been Aldi shoppers ever since then..And thankfully we rarely shop at Walmart for groceries. There are a few items we get there due to Aldi's not carrying them but otherwise we shop at Aldi's.

I don't yard sale, I wish I could as we do need some clothing items and such and have just bought them new or on sale in department stores. I wish I could've hit a yard sale or two and grabbed the items for WAY cheaper. But I'll be doing that much more often now though.

I don't go to Goodwill unless we have the funding and I have a list!! I can't go in there without a list of products I'm looking for and in need of. This leads to overspending.

I went to Goodwill last time and it was on a Saturday when the entire store was 50% off everything. I got my dd's easter baskets there for $0.49/ea. I got them the egg coloring kits new in box for $0.50. I got to pick up some wooden crafty items that I later painted and gave away as gifts. I also bought several blankets and sheet sets. Those were needs. However the egg coloring kits are still new in box on my pantry shelf We didn't get to do eggs this year as we simply ran out of time with Church service & Easter dinner.

So I'm one that can't go to stores without a list otherwise I'll wander and buy items I don't need!!
