Oh yeah! My mom was a single mom and we lived across the street from my grandmother who cooked most of my dinners. We did go to subway alot for weekend lunches and Wendy's/McDonalds occasionally for fast food and Shipleys for Donuts, that's about all I remember growing up.
Ask my dd where she wants to eat and she'll say 1 of 3 places: PF Changs, Outback or Red Lobster. Yup thanks to mom and dad loving 'em my kids are spoiled when it comes to eating out! We have cut back alot but we still eat out alot compared to most-around a couple times a week. It's a norm here instead of special.
