Prices are going up so much all of the time that I can't even keep track of what is considered a good deal anymore!! Anyone else having this same problem?

I am definately with you ~ I have actually started shopping with all of my fliers. So I can price check on just a week to week basis. I know within 10 cents what the price is at aldi, so I go mostly by memory Or if I have other things to get... ie from WalMart, I will just save myself the trips & stress and just shop there. Sometimes there is just equity in convience (I may spend an extra $3 or 4 ~ but I would spend that in gas just running around from store to store)

So funny you posted this - I was going to post the same thing!

I think with how FAST things are going up, some items are jumping up .20 to .50 a week, it is almost impossible to keep a pricebook anymore. A pricebook, to me, relies on some kind of stability/reliability in pricing, which doesn't seem to exist right now. What looks too expensive to me today, might actually be a good deal, because next week it might even be higher, KWIM?

I've just been trying to stockpile items when they are BOGO with a coupon, so that I am pretty sure they are a good price.

stockpiling right now when things are on sale seams to be our best move. at least then we have less of a chance of having to run out and get something at full price.

Avocados were 4.99 for two this week. We had burritos without guac this time! Not a huge inconvenience or anything but we enjoy the guac.

Everything is crazy...

I just started a pricebook in Jan. I don't even try to use it anymore. It just may go in the recycle bin

With the price of gas, and having an infant son, I am not doing much shopping around these days, I go to super walmart and aldis and hope for the best
