Have you tried a new tip to save money and were surprised how well it worked, how much money you saved, or how good something actually tasted?

I used to only grocery shop at one store because it was faster and the one store had most everything I needed at cheap prices but in the last few months I've been shopping at 3 different grocery stores to get the most savings I can on the things I need and I spend a lot less than I thought. It's nice to have that extra money to save.

I was skeptical when I started CVS-ing. I saw how much others were saving, but figured I could never amass that kind of stockpile. Surprise. It works for me.

When I first started lurking this board, someone (I think it was flybygrace!) posted about using half of the recommended amount of laundry detergent. It really works! Now, I buy 3 of the big boxes of detergent from Sam's for a whole year. I love that tip!

At first I did, but now I am just use to saving money at the store. Dh did compliment me last night on what a smart and frugal shopper I am. He couldnt believe how much I saved using coupons and how many items I now get that are generic in order to save money too. He didnt have a clue that I was buying that much generic items; food, paper products, etc. He figured if I hadnt used coupons or got generic products that it would have made our total bill between $50-80 more.
