That doesn't take the sticker price as the final price? How much do you barter for? When do you call it quits? OR do you just pay what is asked because you want the item that badly?

I don't haggle if it's a good price. Meaning if it's marked 50 cents I'm not going to ask to lower it to a quarter. I normally just pay what they mark it or ask for it. Now I might if they are over priced and I can buy it cheaper elsewhere or if I'm buying a lot from them I might ask for a deal off the total price.

I rarely go to garage sales but I never ask for a lower price. If something is higher than I am willing to pay, then I just don't get it. I have gone to sales where everything is just way too high. I don't even bother to look around, I just leave immediately. I don't understand the point of going to all the trouble to have a garage sale and then pricing things so high that you are left with tons of crap. I price things to sell, though I almost always will accept lower offers. Thankfully, it doesn't seem very common around here to ask for a lower price. It makes me uncomfortable.

I have only asked for a lower price one time. That was on a battery powered Jeep that looked like it had seen it's better days. Otherwise, I always just pay the price or don't buy it. Haggling bothers me when I have a yard sale because I feel like I price things very low.

I don't haggle over prices. I just don't buy it instead of trying to get a cheaper price.

I dont garage sale to often maybe 1 time a year mostly cause when I need something I know where to get it and not take up my time.

but I am too chicken (BAWK BAWK) to ask someone to lower a price, also I hate when people do it to me

I don't really ask. but if there is something like alot of clothing that I like for the girls,I will give my number, for them to call after the sale is over.and give one price. most of the time they just want to get thing gone.

I would only normally haggle over bigger items. And then only if I felt they were overpriced. I don't think people would be surprised if you tried to haggle.

I used to work in a store and people would try to get the prices reduced. They would say that they can get it cheaper elsewhere. So go elsewhere then!
