We have one by us. But it is not very big, and a lot of it is empty. I hadn't been there in a long time, but decided to stop by last weekend because the girls had money to spend and my son said the Steve and Barry store had great prices. Nothing over 8.98. I wasn't impressed with that store. Some stuff was nice, but a lot was poor quality in my opinion. One daughter bought one pair of nice shorts. We then went to Rue 21 and they got a lot of stuff their.
I have been to a bigger outlet store, I forget what is was called, but it is right by the Frankenmeuth outlets here in Michigan. Lots of stores. We went about 5 years ago, but from what I remember I loved it. We got awesome deals at the Gap. The only other stores I clearly remember going to was a Christian Book store and KB Toys. Do they even have KB Toys anymore? Our regular mall and outlet mall both had one, but they are long gone.

We have some by us but I don't ever find good deals. I can get better deals with sales at the regular store, especially true for the Gymboree outlet.

I used to find some really great deals at the Carter's outlet and the Osh Kosh outlet in Pigeon Forge, TN (Great Smoky Mountains area). However, it seems now that, while things are still a bit cheaper than the department stores, the prices are pretty much what they'd be on sale in those dept. stores. I do still like shopping there; I just don't expect super deals anymore.

I live within an hour of three different outlet malls. I agree that the deals are spotty. I love Yankee Candles and that has been the best as far as outlet bargains go. A few other finds, but most of them are still expensive.

In general I find the outlets hit or miss, but I LOVE the Stride Rite outlet; they are good quality and I just watch for the sales. I can get $40 shoes for $10.

OMG--I'm outside of Orlando and there are serious outlets in this area! Sure, you may have to root a bit, but you can get some steals!

My favorites are Borders (yep, the regular gift cards work at this outlet and they have amazing kids' books & sets), Waterford (beautiful-high quality) and the Character Outlets (steals from the theme parks w/ Nickelodeon and Disney stuff!). If you vacation down here, carve out some time for the stores!

Another outlet tip--stop by the office or info area. Here, the info area has all sorts of coupons for the stores in the outlet mall and coupons for area restaurants & attractions. So, as if the KB toys or OshKosh clothes aren't already marked down, the coupon is usually for another %10 off. They also have a "deal of the day" thing where they've got random things (like dinner at Medieval Times or tickets to a show) at a really great rate. They have a pot of coffee on so you can take your time to browse the literature with a free beverage.

You can look up your closest outlet mall on line and print coupons for those stores too!--These are usually the same as the ones on site. However, one of my local outlets sends e-mails with notices on specials and invite-only hours!

Hope this helps.

We have three outlet mall near my, all about an hour away. I find plenty of good deals. About eight of my friends and I go in the spring and fall and stay two night to get plenty of shopping in. My favorite is the Premium outlets, which is also in Orlando. You can get great coupons online. The Orlando Premium outlet mall is my absolute favorite outlet mall of all times. It has a Dooney & Bourke outlet, which always has good deals and tons of other high-end stores. They also have Coach but we have that up here too. My husband wanted to get away for a couple days last fall and when he asked where I wanted to go, I immediately said Orlando, just for the outlet mall. I LOVE that mall!

We have an outlet mall on the opposite side of town. I go there to buy vitamins at the Vitamin World outlet. The prices are exceptional! While there I also check out the deals at the Eddie Bauer outlet. I get some great finds there.

I do love the outlet malls (we have 3) but they are hit or miss. The stores where I find the majority of deals are carters, gymboree, bath ad body works, any store that has stockings, and stride rite---

Our nearest one is a couple hours away, but a friend and I go there for an annual shopping trip once a year. We've had pretty good luck when we go. One year Vanity Fair had $3.00 bras; we stocked up on those. We got big boxes of plastic silverware one year for $1.00. I still haven't used all of those 2 years later. And we always find stuff at the Gap store. But The Children's Place outlet is the best. Let's see...shoes for 39 cents, tights for 50 cents, belts for under $1.00...and this is cute stuff, not just ugly stuff leftover. Gymboree, Osh Kosh & Carter's have been hit or miss for us.

We always print the coupons for the outlet mall that are online before we go. Then we get the coupon book from the office when we get there.

Ohhh, now I'm excited just talking about it; our annual trip will be here before I know it. :-)
