Good idea, vitamins are so often overpriced!

I have gotten some really good deals in the past but the last few times I have gone have been disappointed - I think I bought one of the few items that wasn't on sale - thought the whole idea was everything was on sale - DS already had the shorts on - thought they were one price and got a huge shock - much more than I would have spent at a regular store.

We went to an Old Navy outlet on the way to Vegas last year and got some great deals so they are out there but I don't find many at Carter's or Osh Kosh which are closer to my house. I wish we had an Old Navy outlet as I would go there to get clothes for DS - I think DH even got some shorts there last year.

I used to love Vanity Fair - used to get incredible deals there but since they are so far from home it just isn't worth the drive - maybe if I loose the weight I want I will make it my treat to drive up there and get some new clothes. It really is a day trip as it is about 70-80 miles away.

The closer malls have "designer" outlets and while they are deals for those clothes I just don't need designer clothes as a stay at home mom.

I also rarely find the good deals people talk about at the other discount store like TJ Max and Ross - I know others that find great deals I just don't get that lucky.

I don't live near one, but everytime we go to visit friends about 4 hours away, I stop in to the one there. It's hit and miss with the deals. If you can catch the season changes, you get amazing deals!!

I live by quite a few outlet malls (well within an hour drive which by Atlanta standards is not too far away!!)

I find that I can usually find something that is a good deal but I need to be open minded. It might not be what I was looking for.

I love the Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, and Stride Rite outlets because i ALWAYS find something. I have gotten good deals at other stores. Some are just not all that good and I don't bother. There is a Limited Too in the Outlet mall nearest me and they are NOT an outlet -- just a store.

I did yesterday. The Oshkosh outlet had a ton of stuff 70% off. There clothes hold up so good. The other stores you have to watch. You would have to go by all the time to find savings I think!!

I usually don't find good deals at outlets we have alot within an hour of Chicago, but by chance the last time we went I stopped at the Lane Bryant outlet and spent $173 and got tons of clothes everything came out to less than $15 an item and the stuff was the same quality as the regular store. It was different than what they had at the regular store but it was more my taste. I had gone to a regular Lane Bryant just a couple weeks before and the store had very little variety and all the stuff was very trendy.

We live about 8 miles from one (it is closer to us than any "regular" malls), so I do most of my clothes shopping there. I've found some great deals. I try to go during their big sale weekends (Labor Day, July 4th, etc.). I am also a member of their free online "VIP Club" so I can print off coupons for the shops and get notified of sales events. Shopping at the end of the season is another great way to find deals. I've gotten most of my boys turtlenecks at The Children's Place Outlet for less than $3, and I've also gotten really good deals on their winter coats at TCP Outlet, OshKosh and Land's End. We also have a Bath & Body Works Outlet, and the prices there are pretty similar to their regular stores semi-annual sale prices.

I was just at one earlier this week- it is about 45 minutes away and the deals are hit or miss. I don't know all of the stores they have there (I am usually with an already grumpy 4 year old by time we get there- so I hit the stores I want to check out the most and leave asap!)- but I usually find something decent priced. I love the Bath and Body works there- we got some of the classic lines for 75% off (some were $2 a bottle)- I got a few for my oldest for her stocking. Most the places have sales that you can find better at the regular stores (especially Gymborre, Childrens Place and the Gap ones), Limited Too seemed to have a few good sales (although we walked out empty handed!) as well with Rue 21.
