Have you ever lied or fibbed to save money? Have you ever lied about your child's age to get a discounted rate anywhere? Have you ever worn an article of clothing leaving the tags on and returned it? Have you ever slipped in acouple coupons for items you didn't purchase?

We were talking about this at work. I have never lied/fibbed to save money. I would feel too guilty. Plus there is that whole Karma thing.

I guess 1 time but it had more to do with habit ( we took the girls to a museum and it was the day after dd#2 birthday and we said she was 4 and really she was 5) It was after we got back to the hotel we realised. she was not at the ticket booth with dh (she was with me so I didnt even know)

That sounds like an accident to me. I'm talking about the people who lie on purpose about their child's age to save money.

We did as a mistake too @ Cici's pizza. Lmao
I know a girl that used to wear jeans one day and left the tags and stuff on them to go return them the next day. That was weird.

No. I have a responsibility to teach my children not to lie. It starts small, than grows.
It does stink though when your child reaches that age when everything costs more. I have 4 children, and only 1 of them qualifies for the childrens menu at a lot of restaurants. If it is a 12 and under menu though, I have 2.

I have not had the opportunity to even try this since I don't have children yet, but this reminded me when I was a kid. My parents (or should I say my dad - mom went along with it but didn't like it) along with myself, my brother, and my aunt and uncle went to a baseball game. Anyone 16 or over would get a free umbrella for coming to game. Well I am 14 at the time. My dad convinced them I am 16 so that I would also get an umbrella. Imagine a father trying to make their child older. My dad's thing was hey it's free...They gave it to us.

For the most part I have to agree that it doesn't teach children great values to lie about things to get things free or at a reduced price.

Nope never. Kids pick up on the littlest things these days, and that's not what I want my kids to pick up.

I thought about this for a while and no, I don't think I have.
