Has anyone figured out if there is a day that the gas prices routinely change either going up or down? Dh and I noticed here that Wednesday seems to be the day.

I have noticed that there is no reason or schedule. It seems to go up drastically on a moments notice and then take forever to go back down even a few cents!!

Gas prices changed throught the day. A gas station calls their gas broker and asks what price to charge at any given time.

if your local station is only changing proices on Wednesday's they might not follow the markets that closely and might just adjust prices when they get a new delivery in. Does this gas station seems to get deliveries on Wednesday's?

Our gas stations use to change Thursday night / Friday morning when they all had their delievery. And the prices use to change then as well. But now they're changing all the time near as I can figure. I just know to no longer go by that Thursday night rule.

Our Holiday gas station in town was at $3.72 this morning when I went to get groceries. At about 3 pm, it was at $3.85 when I drove by. An hour later, it was back to $3.72 when I drove by again. How does that work?
