Any frugal family plans for this week?

Monday Barnes and Noble is having an event geared towards children with authors, games, face painting, animal balloons, and each child gets a free book.
Tuesday evening the Girl Scout troup is getting together for a walk on a nature trail.
Wednesday is a free craft at the library.
Wednesday evening is a storytime and craft activity at the church (if the weather is ok we can ride our bikes there).
Friday there is a story time at a local zoo (free).
Plus if it ever stops raining we are going to go on a bike ride.

We went to the Libby Dam in Montana today. Yes it was a 80 mile round trip and yes we did eat at Pizza Hut but the tour of the damn was completely free and educational. Plus they had an EagleCam on a local eagle's nest with two babies in it! We got to watch the mother eagle bring her two babies a fish. My husband and I were interested ... not so sure about the kids though.

Also, while there, we learned of some other areas of interest that we can visit!

I hope this is not a duplicate. I did not read the whole thread. Here are some freebies for the summer for kids and some free audio books.

I work two days next week, dh will work 6 days. The kids start their library summer reading program-Free! Because of the rain and flood issues, I have not had a chance to go and get our rec membership yet, gonna do that this week. In the long run it will be more frugal. We will get our monies worth in about four trips to the rec whether we swim or go run around in the basketball court. Depending on the weather, we will do stuff like play doh/moon sand, painting and sidewalk chaulk all outside under the carport.

We went to our Lake Association's summer kick-off party today and there is another local, free festival tomorrow if we want to go. DH is working on digging out a space where we can put a hot tub (yes, I can't believe it!) that someone gave us for free, so I'm not sure if we'll go. We plan on hitting the library this week and hopefully doing some swimming if the weather is nice enough.

Our plans for the week will be Vacation Bible School at my church. My DS will go to the nursery and get to socialize all week long from 8-12! He loves it in there. I am getting to teach the 5th graders. I don't guess that consititues as "FAMILY fun" because we are seperate...but thats our only free plans and it will be fun for ds (and work for me! LOL)

We're going to the zoo tomorrow, we have a membership so while not free it's a good value for all 6 of us, on Wednesday the library is going to have a free movie from 11:00-12:30 and on Thursday we're heading back to the library for the Summer Reading Activities. Between those activites we're going to go to the park and play in the backyard.

Sunday night we will be hosting a sleepover (oh joy!), Monday swimming at my aunt's house (possibly even more since the weather is hot now and staying warm at night!), going to Barnes and Nobles (spending the left over on our gift cards ) Wednesday and going to the movies in the park at our church, then doing a craft project (no Fimo creations this week due to the high temps!).
