I saw a story on CNN about hypermiling. Here is the article about it: Behind the Scenes: 'Hypermilers' test limits of fuel conservation - CNN.com

I also found this link to the "ultimate" guide to hypermiling. The Ultimate Guide to Hypermiling: 100 Driving and Car Tips and Resources | EcoTrekker

Some of the things I do is set my cruise control out of town and I drive about 55-59 mph. (I actually got pulled over on the main highway I travel out of town for going 61 in a 60 mph zone, since then I have just driven slower.) I never leave the car running.

What are some things you do?

I think its a good idea to follow many of those tips.

I am however starting to get annoyed at some of the local service stations around here who are advertising they can help improve your fuel efficiency. Sure they might be able to do improve it SLIGHTLY but is it offset by the cost of the work done?
