I am buying more of the stuff I use regularly when it is on sale for a good price.

My issue is cycling through the stockpile and using stuff before it expires.

You bet I am stock piling. I just bought a couple more cases of canned veggies on sale. I hadnt made it thru the last cases that I bought, but it was a good sale so I did it. I also got about 20 some 64 oz jugs of Old Orchard juice on sale too-.99 each. I need to make a list of some other canned/boxed goods I need and be on the look out for them when they go on sale.

Only things that will not go bad quickly----mostly canned goods or I will freeze several loaves of bread and freeze meat as well. I just worry about wasting anything or items getting freezer burnt. However, if it is a staple that I use weekly, ex black beans, then yes I stock pile.

I tend to stockpile more for the winter so I don't have to worry about having to trek out in the bad weather. However, with the way this economy is going, I make sure we have the things we need. I try to stockpile the basics. Really good sales here are getting to be far and few between so I don't get to stockpile as much as I'd like.

I don't really look at it as stockpiling--more just a way of life. I have been trying to round out my food supply though. I'm just glad I got some done when I did--some things are so much more expensive now than they were even 8 months ago. Anyway--yes I am a stockpiler.

I've always stockpiled -- I don't think I'm doing things any differently though than what I did last year.

I've always stockpiled as a way to save money. When I find something on sale I buy a few so I rarely pay full price for things we routinely use. The only thing I've stockpiled more of recently is Kool Aid when it went on sale and sugar. Sad that Kool Aid is so much cheaper to drink than milk.

I have always been a big stockpiler, but I have really been upping it lately, to avoid driving. $4 a gallon gas is KILLING us.

We haven't been stockpiling much - I had found that in the past, I would stockpile & things would go bad before we could get to eat it. If there is a great buy one get one offer, I may get two (actually 4) for I don't go overboard. We usually just get what we will be sure to eat within that month.
