I have always been a stockpiler too...more so lately. I also worry about panicking and having so much that we can't use it all before it expires...I have a couple of shelving racks in the basement where I can organize everything....so that I can see it and I have a list of items I am on the lookout for in my purse...I also make a list of items we DO NOT NEED...so that I don't keep buying the same things over and over...I also freeze bread (in one week's time it went from 1.09 a loaf to 1.89 a loaf...same bread!!), meat and fresh veggies when they are on sale for really cheap!! Last year I found a farm selling awesome corn on the cob...I bought 48 ears and cleaned it...cut the corn off the cob and bagged it and put it in the freezer..we had fresh corn all winter and it was really good...not at all soggy or cob tasting like the articles said it would be!!!

we stockpile but only stuff that we know we will use before it goes bad like canned goods and stuff that can go in the deep freeze.. i also have a stash of stuff like deoderant,tp, soaps toothpaste not tons but enough that they all don't run out at the same time and bust the budget.. i'm also trying to have two containers of laundry soap on hand at all times and i use the older one first.

I love to stockpile not just food but clothes for the kids also. It makes no sense to me to pay $30+ for a pair of pants when I could get them for more then half off at the end of the season. As far as having extra money to stockpile most of the times I only allow myself an extra $20.00 to stockpile. Right before spring break Stop & Shop had Perdue chicken nuggets on sale and I knew the kids would be home for lunch so I stockpile them with Progresso soups so I would have lunch for them. Sometimes we use the stockpile right away and at times we store it for further use. I do the same with clothes I go to one of the malls nearby and they have a few outlet kids clothing stores including GAP and Childrens Place so $20.00 at times buys me and outfit for each of my kids.

Not right now since we are moving soon but I will be going into overdrive to replentish my stockpile ASAP after the move. I'm scared how much restocking the house is going to cost but I keep trying to tell myself it took years to get it the way it was.
