- since gas is going up
Are you finding yourself stockpiling more now? Lately I have been stockpiling more on sale items then I have been. All I keep on thinking is with gas going up and up everything else is also. What is on sale now will be at a higher price on sale later on. Space is an issue however I did realize I can go higher in the closet.

What are your thoughts?

I've been stockpiling more recently, but more because I feel a need to be prepared (for whatever) than because of gas prices. I did buy a 25# bag of flour though.

Yep, same here. Trying to stock pile when money allows! Problem is money isn't allowing much! Lol!

I'm trying not to let fear over take me....but, I really feel that we need to be prepared!

Yes I am trying to stockpile more- especially since sales seem to not be as good as years prior, anything to stretch our dollar farther, to be more prepared and etc.

I've always been a stockpiler because I grew up poor and not having enough food or essential items makes me sick to my stomach. I am however getting more choosey about what I stockpile and am going to sell off items (75 tubes of toothpaste, 100+ razors, etc) at my upcoming rummage sale. That way I can clear out space for more essential items and get a little extra cash to hopefully pay off a credit card.

I'm getting much better about planning ahead to by items that will be going on sale and using a coupon to help stockpile things especially canned goods, pasta, rice and flour.

I'm stockpiling a lot of rice, beans, and water but of course that's all costing extra money that we don't have. This economy is really scaring me so I do most of my shopping at Costco and do it once a month so we don't spend more than what we do there, but of course that's very difficult to make it a month.

I'm stockpiling canned food as well, and am thinking of getting powdered milk just in case. For the first time in my life, I'm actually feeling the need to be prepared, for what I don't know.

No, we don't really have the extra money to stockpile.

I'm trying to stockpile, but it seems like every time I think we may have the money to do so, here comes another medical bill.

Yes. I used to have a stockpile, then I let it go, and we ate through it. Now, with the worsening state of the economy and grocery prices rising every week, I'm hedging with a growing stockpile again. I just buy LOTS of whatever is on sale for the best price for the week. I buy as much as we will use before it expires.
