How have you been doing at the saving on gas challenge this week?

-So far 1 day without driving at all.
-Yesterday we rode our bikes to one errand.
-For 5 days drove within a 3 miles radius (taking dd to day camp).

so far this week I have been home Sunday through Tuesday, Then on Wednesday I had to take a business trip and came home on Thursday. does that count since the company paid the gas expense? anyway I will have to run errands today and I am getting all of them done this afternoon.

We haven't gone one day without driving somewhere, but since school just got out, I have cut out the trips to/from school. That helps some.

I did merge 2 errands into one yesterday. Most of our trips are short as well.

So far pretty good. I only had to drive twice this week-library day and than another day to finish my shopping for the week. Each day I got in as many errands as I could. The kids and I will stick close to the house today since tomorrow we leave for a four hour drive to go see mil and spend the week with her. Once we get to her house, we will very little expenses so that will help out a lot.

Mon--drove to my mom's to do laundry because my washing machine broke (ugh)
Tues--CVS and Walgreens for necessities only (both quite close to home)
Wed--no driving
Thurs--Grocery and my sister's pool (close)
Fri--breakfast out with my boys for a treat (kids were both free) and went to a free festival at the local farmstead (also close)

I didn't do too bad. It helped that one DS wasn't feeling well, so I curtailed a lot of possible activities early in the week.

I may do a bit of driving today though, unfortunately. We may go blueberry picking among other things. I just want to get out and do something!
