Tonight DH and I went o buy a new phone. The caller ID on ours is shot and the battery just isn't keeping a charge very well.

So we found one we liked and there was only one box on the shelf. The only thing was that it looked like it had been opened. So we weren't sure if it was a return or what. The guy who was helping us did look in the system to see if there were any others in the back but that was the only one they had.

So DH asked if we could get a discount on it. They gave us 5% off which wasn't a whole lot but it was definitely better than no savings at all!

So it never hurts to just ask

I always ask if something looks like it might have been a return because you never know and they usually want to get rid of it.
