What are the one or two things you refuse to give up no matter how much they cost?

The AC. I can do without a lot of things but not that, I don't do heat very well.

Toilet paper. No explanation needed.

birkenstocks. Can't do much of anything if I can't walk.

in my area there are either Cr@p apartments or expensive apartments. there is no in between.

I choose expensive.

My rent could be $100-$300 less a month but I wouldn't feel safe walking my dog let alone living there.

1) AC this time of year
2) second car - dh works to far away and we need it to get around - public transit just doesn't work for anyplace we want to go (both are paid for)

3)this is frivoulous and I know I could do it at home and probably will be soon but I love getting my hair colored by someone who knows what they are doing. I really want to learn how to do this myself though to save big bucks - this is really the only thing I splurge on.

Air conditioning I get headaches etc without it for too long...

I wouldn't give up the privilege of eating out at least once a month. (Lately it has been a lot more - need to improve that)

I don't have much choice but there are some medications it looks like we'll have to continue to purchase - or obtain somehow. For the time being it looks like I need an asthma medication and hubby needs some meds, too. It isn't a need but I'd be hard pressed to give up my hormone replacement therapy, too.

Other than that, I can't think of a thing. Maybe we should start a new either-or thread. For instance, if you had to chose between a second car or the internet, which would you give up?
