What things have you found to be cheaper at stores like these? I am having a little trouble figuring out what is cheaper at Walmart vs Costco vs the Commissary vs a regular grocer etc

Thanks-- Ann

I have found some of Sams' dairy and meet products (milk, eggs, ground beef, chicken) to be quite a bit cheaper or equal to grocery store prices. Stuff like ketchup, bbq sauce, detergent, etc, is about the same or more expensive, just in bigger bottles.

tortilla chips - you really have to like them and eat a lot because the bags are huge, at sam's they come in a box by the salsa

frozen chicken breasts
flour tortillas
seasonings, I buy taco seasoning because I use a lot of it
chocolate chips

You just have to write down everything...and keep your list handy when you're at each place and although it sounds overwhelming at first, it does come together fairly quickly. I just write down the item, calculate the prize per oz and I'm good to go! LOL! That's the only way I can keep track myself. It's hard to know from what other people buy because it so depends on the brand, size etc
