Ok Mommysavers Experts.......From your experience, who do you think is cheaper with their prices....Target or WalMart? This could include Diapers, Food, etc

Oh boy!!! This is always a big debate on here! I really think it depends on what you are buying. I go to Target for some things and WalMart for others. I am not sure about food since we don't have a super Target around here.

Oh, I don't want to cause a debate. I know some people are "sensitive" regarding WalMart. Both are a drive for us; so I was even wondering if it was worth it or not. As long I can save some $$$ I am happy.

Its okay! LOL People just get heated sometimes when it comes to Walmart. As long as we can remain respectful of each other and our opinions, its all good!

I don't have a Target, but I DO have a super Walmart. I do agree that it might just be certain items that you must buy at one or the other to get the best price.

My advice for you, since its a drive to both, to visit both of them and bring a notebook. Keep track of the prices on certain items so you can decide it its worth it or not. Hopefully, if they are near each other, you can visit both on the same day and get what you need to save yourself a trip.

For me, it doesn't make a bit of difference...I've tracked the items I buy at both places over time. I really prefer the shopping experience at Target, so that's where I go. You really just have to write down and keep track what you're buying - one place could be a savings for one person but not for another, just depends on what you're buying, if you like certain brands etc

Good luck!

I really do think it matters what you buy. I used to work at Walmart so it's so easy for me to just go there all the time, but honestly I prefer Target. IMO it is cleaner and friendlier at Target.

To me they are really not comparable -- I buy different things at both stores. WalMart is closer than Target ... so I probably go though more often though I prefer Target overall.

Does anyone know if either accept Printable coupons? I know Target has "Target coupons". Does WalMart have store coupons as well?

Walmart does not have printable store coupons. But they will price match. If you find an item for a lesser price at another store, show them the ad, and they will give you the lesser price. They will also accept printed coupons. If they give you a hassle, you need to tell them to check with the home office, it is in thier coupon accepting rules that they will accept internet printed coupons.
