I spend TONS of time at Target too...it's like an addiction. Even if it's only 30% off it's like I just can't resist. Maybe we need to orchestrate some boundaries........like only going twice a month....or at least once a week!

I think it is very much like an addiction. I know when I get a good deal on clearance I get the same kind of 'high' that people talk about with things like gambling. Trouble is, it's like a food addiction - you have to eat, you just have to figure out how to control it so it doesn't control you. I guess you don't HAVE to shop at Target, but we have to figure out the trick to allowing ourselves to get some good deals without it controlling our pocketbook or our households overcome with stuff.

Last night I finally unloaded my bags of stuff from the 2/$1 and 4/$1 sales last week and thought, why, why did I think I had to have this stuff. It's the thrill of the hunt as much as it is the stuff. I don't have many thrills in my life so I guess this is one way to make me happy. That is too sad.

I too am a Target addict. Heck, I even stopped at a Target in Wilkes Barre PA on the way back from NY last weekend to check out what they had.

I must say part of it is brilliant marketing on their part. They have found the way to get us in the store and keep us there and gleefully part with our money.

I am limiting myself to Target once a month. If I can do that, then I think I am doing pretty good.

You guys turned me on to Target. I love it. I usually go on Thursday's on my way to my mom's. I have to say , I do really well there. I'm about done my x-mas shoppi ng and have seen things there on clearance so cheap, and at toys r us full price. Ex. I purchased this crawl through thing for Thomas for 7.48 or something, the same thing was a TRU this week for 69.00. That's a big diff erence. I LOVE their quality. I have a target card too, but just limit myself or take cash. I'm going tomorroow to get school supplies for Kelsey and check out outdoor clearance. I like my store, it's clean, pretty well stocked and good prices. Now I have to find the SUPER TARGET in Lancaster, Pa

HOW DO YOU GET A TARGET MAGAZINE?

We are looking at moving this fall (maybe) and the house we are hoping to get is 12 miles (12 miles!!!) away from the closest Target. *Now that may not seem far to some of you, but I am used to having one about 1/2 mile away ~ a SUPERTarger none the less. *

Talk about going cold turkey! * "Honey where did all the gas in the truck go".....my response "trips to Target" * That'll fly!

I started getting the magazine and the coupon books in the mail after I signed up for a Target Visa (which was good for 10% off my order, and I was buying a stroller). I haven't used the card since then, but it's nice to get the coupons on the mail.

I have conqured Target!!!! (she shouts from a top of a mountain!) The trick is to go with only cash and no cards and a list! It is scary when you have cash and you know you cant go over and it will be very embarrasing!
