For us, it's staying home more and organizing errands to one day per week. Also, trying not to overschedule the kids. It makes our lives easier plus costs less.

I have decluttered and am currently redoing rooms, so they are cozy. Everyone wants to be in a cozy room. I have declutterred and repainted my bedroom and bathroom, it feels so cozy and relaxing..Also so easy to keep up/get clean. Kids request to be home, instead of going out. Now I know we are doing good. Not where I want to be, but striving. I am currently redoing my daughters room, who is four. Her room was getting a little cluttered, and she prompted picked up the pile of stuff and went put it in the hall, and then straightened her new bed spread. How funny, gotta love when that happens.

When home is a retreat who wants to leave. That's my goal!

Meal planning! I think this thing is magic. Why didn't I do it ten years ago? I shop ONCE a week, or less, and we don't waste anything, and I always have a meal I can make and all the ingredients on hand. For the past two week-ends I haven't wanted/had time to go to the store, and I can still go another week with no problem. It's GREAT.

I combine my trips and stay home the rest of the time. I try to ride my bike the rest of the time. Definitely helped with the gas costs!

We have!

We've gotten rid of cable, quit smoking, we only do errands once a week, and grocery shopping less than once a week. We also say "No" a lot. We try to be home for three nights in a row before we go visit someone or spend an evening away from home. We really cherish our alone time at home, and it has become much more important to us than we could have expected. That has also freed up a lot more time for cooking and baking, so we don't eat out (like EVER) and there is no need for convenience meals. I have also jumped onto the vinegar bandwagon, and use it for A LOT of my cleaning/fabric softener/etc .
