I make my own breakfast items and freeze-pancakes, waffles, french toast and breakfast burritos. Snacks-cookies, cakes, cup cakes, etc. The other day I made homemade noodles and they turned out way yummier than store bought noodles. I only make one type of all purpose cleaner (lemon ammonia, white vinegar, and a few drops of Joy dish soap-really like it for the kitchen and bathroom).

I refuse to buy any premade meals, dry or frozen now. For the cost I can make so much more of the same thing myself for less money. They are so bad for you too. So I walk right by the canned foods, pizzas, microwave meals, etc. Yes, its easier to buy these, but I just won't do it anymore!
I feel better about what I serve now too. The only problem is when my teenagers start to say, "There's no good food in the house!" LOL

Wow!! The list of stuff you guys make at home is neverending. I have a lot to learn!! New to the site and learning alot.

I have one question though. How do you make your own laundry soap. Does it clean as well. I have three kids and they sure know how to stain clothing.

Thanks

I like to bake from scratch so that saves us some money. I also like to make homemade tomato sauce. I usually make a large pot and freeze it in plastic containers so I always have sauce for whatever dish requires it. I also make homemade soups, spice rubs, apple sauce, french fries, etc. It's very rare that I buy something prepackaged. It just tastes better to me when we do it ourselves. (plus my kids like helping me cook)

Thanks to the ladies on this board, I've been cleaning my house now with vinegar and/or baking soda. This one has been a real money saver!
