This is something new for us, we've only gotten it twice. But it is a really good deal, and does stock up our freezer. We go through a lot of chicken and it's great for us. But you have to be willing to us non store brands. But I will tell you even though they aren't name brands, they are good. I have tried them. I'm a new stay at home mom and found this to be a help. If, on occasion, they actually do make a few bucks off the packages, the money goes to the food pantry for that church. At least where we get it, my husband asked. But they said they rarely ever make a penny.

Yeah, my family isn't too brand sensitive- until it comes to ketchup (only Heinz) and Mac-n-Cheese. I have plenty of recipes for chicken- sometimes it seems we have chicken all the time so that's no problem! It makes me feel good that the money goes back to a good cause.

I have used it a few times. The only negative I had with it was how much of the food only has directions on preparing by deep frying. There chicken tenders are great.

they don't serve Minnesota, but by divine grace I found a church ministry that we paid $20. for food, approx $100. value. There biggest problem was that is was mostly perishable. But even with a CASE of banana's I would use them all up. I even started giving some to my mom which she gave me $10. in exchange for the food, of course I knew the reason she gave the $10 was to help us financially. the ministry served the homeless with a portable kitchen and they used the money to pay for the free services to the poor. they were able to serve two different groups that needed it. we never qualified for any help, we always were over the financial limit.

Wisconsin has this program but it is called "Share" The regular package is $18 and if you want to add any additional you can. It is a great program and you pick up the last Saturday of the month. and then place your order for the next month. I have not used it in about 8 months but now that I am staying at home with the kids again I have been thinking about starting it. www.sharewi.org is the website for Wisconsin and I am sure it lists the areas that it is in. I think Wisconsin, Northern Illinois and Upper Michigan.

I didn't have a host site in my area until just recently and only found out about it this past week. Ironically, my former boss and her husband are in charge of it at their church and I found out through them. It's definitely going to help us out in the next few months until we're back on our feet. I can't wait to get the first unit and see how everything is. I did notice they have extra holiday specials for December and didn't really see that those were extra good deals but there's certainly not a grocery store in our area where I can get what's in the box for $25.
