Klippy - I forgot to mention that I use grill seasoning on the fillets. I doubt you'll be disappointed!

I am dropping off my first order at a local church today! A friend of mine and I are both ordering a box. I pick it up at the end of the month. It looks like the only thing I won't use is turnip greens :hurl: but other than that it looks like good stuff.

I picked up my order from Angel Food Ministries and I am pleased. I am soaking a package of bean soup mix tonight and plan on having bean soup Monday night. I baked some of the chicken bites tonight for DH and tossed them in buffalo wing sauce. There were lots of things in my package. The pie is a cherry one made at General Mills. I ordered the package for April today and I added the grill pack. I will probably be posting what we are eating out of this package and probably asking for ideas on how to use some of the things. I would love to hear about everyone else who got the package and what they are doing with the food items.

I was hoping you'd like it. We picked ours up today, too, and, as always, I got a lot of stuff that I know will be very helpful for us. I don't know what to do with the greens, so if anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it.

I ordered for next month, too, since it looked like a great box!

I did not get the greens - they did a substitute I guess - I got a bag of Frozen Calif. blend vegtables. Did you get any substitutes? I really did not even look at what I was suppose to have but when you mentioned the greens I knew I did not get those. Although my husband LOVES turnip greens!!!

I have cooked several things out of my package - tonight we had the hamburger steaks. Seasoned them, grilled them and they were very good. I am really excited about Angel Food MInistries - Hopefully this will help me lower the money that I spend on food!!!!

Do you have to take a box or can you take bags? I use canvas bags for my shopping...can I use those or do I need to find a box...if so what size box is a big box?

At my host site I've seen people use everything from cardboard boxes to laundry baskets to paper bags to coolers on wheels. So long as you can carry it on your own they aren't picky about what you put your food into. There are a couple of extra volunteers to help elderly to their car and a few flatbed handcarts, but I imagine every site is different in that aspect.

I wanted to check that they didn't just collect the boxes to fill them and you got a different one.

I just paid for this months order...I can't wait to pick it up!!
