Eating leftovers is a great way to save money on the food budget. Does your family give you grief when you serve leftovers? Do you have a designated night that is "clean out the fridge night"?

Yes we are! We have a "fend for yourself night" at least once a week, sometimes twice! Well, that is for everyone except the 2 yr old. LOL It works great, because they all know they have to get in there first to get the best leftovers!

We never have enough leftovers for A clean out the fridge night.

Leftovers are usually eaten for Lunch the next couple days.
If I Make a big dish , Like Chili or a big pot of soup Everyone knows Its Going to Be served Twice that week, so No - one really Says Anything.
If They complain , they get to make themselves a Peanut butter sandwich , or Bowl of Cereal and Eat a vegetable from the meal I Made

Yep...we're pretty good about eating LOs. If I make something that is not particularly good, I will only let it suffer (LOL) for about a day before I throw it out though. DH is such a big eater that our meals usually only last for dinner and then one LO lunch.

I try to bring leftovers to work with me when there are any. If I do have a lot leftover I will try to make it a meal for at least two nights. I hate seeing any food go to waste these days.

We hardly ever have leftovers and if we do the kids eat them as a snack if there's not enough to put together for a meal and if there is enough they do enjoy a night of leftovers and so do I, one night of not having to think about a meal.

I hardly ever have leftovers...I just cook in such a way that I don't generate them. When I do have leftovers, I don't serve them again for dinner. I would eat them myself for lunch or something.

Yep, we eat leftovers every other night. I make a large meal every other evening and I make sure that there will be enough leftovers for at least lunch and supper for one night. Sometimes its leftover soup or one dish meal, which I just reheat, other times it's leftover meat, which I sometimes make into another dish (usually something quick and easy). It makes the responsibility of cooking a lot easier on me, since I only have to really really cook a few nights a week! It saves me a lot of money, too, since there is always something in the fridge for lunch or a snack - I hardly buy convenience foods at all anymore.
