It does cost a lot of $ but I love it. I did cut our list down some but I will still send them. I like sending e-cards to some people but I usually send them a real card too. I guess it is just a habit for us.

Never...$10 for stamps isn't all that bad (esp since we probably all bought cards on sale after last xmas). I love decorating my house with cards I receive. I love getting pictures of the kids all grown up. Many times the cards are for relatives I have not seen in a while and they are a time to write a personal note. Why don't you write the cards out together? That would be a nice way to spend time with your son (in my book, the times we spend together are better than a store gift anyway), and something he'll probably remember a lot longer.
