I really blew it. I was doing really well, but was invited to a friend's bachelorette party. I thought I was strong enough to resist peer pressure and temptation, but I failed miserably!!! The party was a "passion" party. I had never been to one before (they feed you food and get you liquored up, then bring out a bunch of "intimate" items for you to buy!!!) Well, all the ladies were whooping it up and having a great time (me included) and I ended up buying stuff that, the next morning, I'm like "WHAT was I THINKING?!?!?!" Of course it's all non-returnable, so now that I'm back in my own environment and my "right" frame of mind, I'm just cringing!!!! DH didn't know what I'd spent until today (almost a week later) he was looking at the credit statement online and was confused. He asked me, "Do you know anything about some $126.00 charge on the Visa????" OMG!!!!!!! I'm already back-pedaling, trying to think of ways to make up that amount by cutting out any other expense you know?
***sigh*** Now I am invited to this same friend's bridal shower, so I need to buy a nice gift....sheesh! There are just so many opportunities and occasions where I can just blow it. My 7 yo is also invited to 2 parties next weekend, so that's 2 more gifts to buy, on top of a soccer party the same weekend for which I chipped in $20 to get the soccer coach a gift card. Eeeek how does anyone have a social life without totally blowing it!
