Scrapbook TRAINS

ALL TRAIN RIDERS PLEASE READ! THE RULES WILL BE ENFORCED!

What is a scrapbook train?

A scrapbook train is an envelope filled with papercrafting items (ie, brads, eyelets, paper etc.) that is sent between riders. When you receive the "train", take items you will use and replace those with items for your fellow passengers. You then mail it to the next address on the list.

To be eligible to ride a train or participate in a swap you must have a minimum of 50 posts.

Are there any rules?

1. Take only what items you need.
2. Replace what items you take.
3. Try to include items that everyone will appreciate. (See the enclosed mailing list for more details.)
4. Mail out PACKING LIST + ITEMS to the next rider on the list within 7 days.
6. Post the status (received/sent) in your train #'s thread!!
7. Please provide enough postage so as not to delay (or perhaps derail) the train
8. If you are the cause of a derailment, you may be placed on a one month suspension from the scrapbook trains you are on. If you are the cause of 3 derailments, you may be placed on one year suspension from the scrapbooking trains.
9. If you are not going to be around to receive and/or send your train, you MUST contact a mod so we can make arrangements to go around you.
10. You MUST contact a mod before giving a fellow rider negative feedback in the iTrader system. Negative feedback should NOT be given to riders because you don't like the items she sends or you don't like how slow the train is. If the rider gets the train out in 7 days and/or has an excused delay, we do not want her to receive negative feedback.

**We know that life happens and sometimes the post office doesn’t deliver the way we would like. We are understanding moderators and are willing to work with you!**

**If you can NOT continue on your train, please let the Mod know ASAP so that the train can be continued.**

Have fun with it!!

What if I haven't seen my train in a while?

Please contact your train mod via private message and we will contact all the riders on the train to find out where the train stopped. If the train seems to have derailed, we will restart a new train with only riders who wish to continue.

How many items should I send in a train?

As many as you want!! It's up to you how many items you send. Just be sure to affix proper postage!!

***Its very important that everyone on the trains always post when they recieve their train, and again when they send it out. If YOU are the cause of a train derailment, you will be removed from said train.

Rules will be adjusted as needed.
Thank you!!

SWAPS AND TRADES

If you have not already noticed MS is getting bigger and better, one of our newest additions is iTrader . This allows you to leave feedback and allows you to see how a trader does by having a chance to rate them on any given transaction!

Please be advised that papercraft trading with another member is done at your own risk and under any circumstances are monies to be traded for items!

When reading and leaving feedback for members, a postitive is quick delivery with no problems

A negative trade is when a participant has not received their end of the trade by 10 business days of the agreed upon send date.

Please note:

Before negative feedback is posted, please make every effort to work it out via email or a pm. Mods must be contacted and act as as mediators first before negative feedback is warranted. It could very well be a simple misunderstanding!

If you have any questions concerns or suggestions please post here, we will address in a timely manner!

It's only fair that we post trades here for paper crafting supplies/items ONLY so as not to take away from the bartering forum and so this doesn't get messy trading for lots of different things. Meaning...offer paper crafting items FOR paper crafting items.

Example: For Trade - hodge podge of mini brads, approx. 75 in lot, all different colors. Will trade for 8x8 papers, ribbon, eyelets, tags, etc.

One on One Swaps will be at your own discretion. Please leave feedback accordingly and if anything is negative please contact a Moderator first as stated above.

Group Swaps (ie, ribbon, paper etc.) Group swaps will be based on the leader who initiates the swap. Please leave appropriate feedback for the leader and the leader will leave appropriate feedback for the participants.

If you want to trade for something other than other paper crafting supplies, please read the bartering forum rules and post your FSOT items there. We are trying to NOT have to moderate trade posts in this subforum so it's best to limit it to paper crafting items only.
Thank you and Have Fun!

Just a bit of clarification.

Group Swaps (i.e. the glitter swap, micro bead swap, or image swap):

1.All group swaps need mod approval before being posted.
2.You need to have at least 300 posts to be eligible to start a group swap in the scrapbooking/papercrafting forum.
3.All swaps must have a due date so that confusion can be avoided.
4.All group swaps are to move quickly and efficiently. Group swaps need to be received by the due dates. Anything that arrives 10 days after due WILL receive negative feedback.
5.If for some reason you will be unable to continue with a swap or train please let a moderator and the swap hostess know ASAP!
6.If you receive negative feedback three times related to scrap group swaps, you will be banned from swapping within the scrapbooking/papercrafting forum.

I have a question on leaving feedback... Question is to the MODS:

I was on the kit swap. I left feed back for my hostess. Should I/Am I allowed to leave feedback for the items in the swap--the other people? OR NO...

hmmm I have not discussed this with the other mods but you give feedback to the leader and she gives feedback to everyone else. Does that make sense?

What kind of things? Anyone can start a train. If there is a lot of interest in something. Normally a train has five riders. Just depends. I would be interested in joining a few.
