I just wanted to give a heads up for those that use Kandoo wipes. They are not biodegratable and can cause clogged toilets.

Background: We purchased three new super flush toilets 2+ years ago because our original toilets put in the house when built were horrible with toilet paper - we were constantly plunging them. SInce then we have only had to plunge one toilet once.

Until Kandoos!!! We found that we were plunging the two toilets our son (now 4) was using more frequently. We were still wiping his butt, so we know only one or two wipes were being used at a time. We bought a 6 foot snake and still no success on releasing the clog. We had to call a plumber. The amount of wipes he pulled out of the toilet was gross!!!! Any toilet paper flushed was gone - just lots of kandoo wipes left.

Since then I have done a bit of research and found that that this is a common problem not reported by P&G/Pampers. The label says it is safe for septic and sewer. They have changed the label from can use up to 5 wipes to flush only 1-2 wipes at a time.

So, user beware! We have decided to use what we have left, but instead of flushing down the toilet we have plastic bags in the bathrooms to throw them away and take to the trash (like normal wipes). We will transition to toilet paper quickly.

Hear goes my PSA for the day!

No wipe is safe to flush down the toilet unless you put it in a glass of water and swish it around and it breaks up same goes for tp!

Thanks!! I usually use regular wipes & I wipe her & put them in the garbage. DD would loves wiping herself, I let her know that wipes belong in the garbage but fear she might forget & it would get flushed. Thanks!!

Good to know. I personally threw them in the trash when we used them, but my DH & DS like to flush EVERYTHING. My husband has even been known to flush left-over food. What was he thinking?!?! I still don't know. =P

Thanks for the heads up!!
