How many hours a day would you say your child is physically active?

I would say they are both non stop, except during naps (2 hours) and bedtime sleep (8pm-7am). They do have down time: story time, bath time, and TV (2 hours a day max), but for the most part they are movers and shakers!

We're outdoors the better part of the day. Riding on the bikes, and ride on toys, pushing around their Tonka Trucks, playing golf and t-ball. Ty likes playing kick ball and follow the leader. They both love the jungle gym at the park, as well as the swings and the teeter-totters (aka see saws)

After dinner each night we put on the Wiggles CD (two hours of Wiggles music) and dance to some songs. The boys love it. They also love dancing to Life is a Highway by Rascal Flatts!

There is the odd game of Hide and Seek, which I guess is down time mixed with frantic seeking, followed by an attack tickle fest, but hey.......it counts!

When daddy comes home, it's jump on daddy time...and I mean that quite literally!

Of my preschoolers, when they are not sleeping, they are moving (sometimes when they are sleeping too!!) And my 3 yr old does not take naps either. Luckily the 2 yr old still naps really well and goes to bed early.

My ds is very sedate. He does tear around the house on occasion, but not all the time, maybe like once a day. He does love to be outside, but it's more to find bugs (slugs and snails are his favorite right now! :D ) and to watch the birds, plant flowers and dig in the dirt. He was never a 'busy' baby/toddler, but not lazy either. Just sedate like mom and dad! :D

My 3 year old dd is pretty much on the go all day. Her only down time is when she wants to read books.

DS is out every morning feeding livestock with me. He also gets out to feed cats and snowplow. He loves the 4 wheeler, riding horses, sking, fence climbing and just goes!

I need the nap trying to keep up with him!
