I did when they were babies. They don't really care one way or the other so they can wear whatever is comfortable.

Do you buy your kids a special outfit for the holidays?

I get special outfits for them for Christmas. Not for Thanksgiving. It is a tradition that I had growing up and one that I want to continue with Rebecca and Jacob. They are not always dressy....for example..Jacob will just have a baby's first Christmas sleeper to wear this year and last year, Rebecca had a pair of red stretch pants and a shirt with Santa on it. The year before she had a red dress....just depends what I find that I like.

I did when they were babies. Now they are older and it is just to hot here for all the frilly clothes. Most of the time it is hot enough for summer clothes 10 out of the 12 months in a year.

For Thanksgiving no. For Christmas yes. But only since they started school. I buy them at least a nice new shirt for when they do their Christmas programs at school. It isnt anything too Christmasy because I want them to wear it the rest of the winter. I will find a nice long sleeve shirt or sweater for them.

For Thanksgiving I bought a polo button down and pants for my ds, and nice sweaters and pants for my dd's. They will wear them again for church and my ds's christmas program.
For Christmas I always get them new pajamas, and a nice outfit to wear for our Christmas card photo.

Oh Yes!! I love holiday clothes I buy a Thanksgiving shirt normally from Old Navy for Babies R Us and pair it was jeans or cute cargo pants for casual outings. He will get a new sweater or polo with nicer pants for Thanksgiving day!!

Christmas we do new pjs christmas themed for course one or two holiday shirts to pair with jeans for sitting on santas lap/christmas outings and a new dress out fit for the holidays..... last year I bought him something for Christmas day too!!

I budgeted about 1/2 of our Dec 1st Christmas budget for holiday clothing!

Yes...but they're not really 'special' outfits for one particular holiday though. We always have nice clothing to wear to holidays, weddings, funerals, parties etc We get quite a bit of use out of that type of clothing.

The boys are older now, so their outfits don't really vary for holidays - they wear dark gray or black wool slacks and button down shirts and lace up leather shoes. Sometimes a tie, sometimes a blazer etc

Our families always dress up for holidays and we don't feel it's any less 'comfortable' that regular clothing, so it's really not a big deal for us.
