went to preschool??

I'm terrified of the day my daughter goes to preschool, away from me!!! but at the same time, it will be nice to have some time (without relying on the "iffy" naps) to get things done - especially go to school. I'm a full-time student right now, but wonder if it REALLY will be easier when DD goes to preschool, or just different?

I expect to be in tears for a week when my girl goes off to school!!!

I remember being terrified too. But after your daughter starts bringing you home beautiful crafts and telling you about her new friends and how much fun she had, you will both be thankful for this time. Plus, it's good to do this to get you both ready for kindergarten.

Big hugs.

Yes...it does get easier. I had a really hard time with field trips, I didn't want my child in anybody else's car, much less on a bus! Oy. It was hard. I still get a little flutter of nervousness when a field trip comes up and I try to be a parent chaperone if I can...even now and they're 12 and 9. L.OL.

It was so much easier!! Of course my little one was not used to being home with just me. He had been in daycare since he was born. Then when we moved in November at age 3.5 he was so missing the interaction with other kids!!! He finally got into a preschool in mid Jan. and it has dramatically improved his behavior at home also. Now he likes being with me since he also has his kid time!!! He also has learned so much. He loves preschool and I have 4 hrs to run all my errands.

I cried forever when my oldest started to preschool. Then I cried again forever when she went to kindergarten. Then I was a nervous wreck when she started elem. But despite my fears that she'd get lost and no one would care, and that she'd wander the halls for hours crying...etc...she did fine. Much harder on me than her. But she has always loved school and they do such fun things in preschool that she enjoyed it once she got used to it. Plus she made lots of little friends and they would go home with each other for playdates. All around a good thing. Just have tissues ready.

I was a little bit nervous the first day, but expected it to be worse. After that first day it was fine, and actually I love the break two days a week

I thought it would be really bad but it is only for a few hours and I have the baby sister to take care of while she is gone. She really loves it and made a few really good friends. She gets excited on her 2 school days a week.
